Ready to lead by example at Cooroy State School

For our future Cooroy State School leaders, it’s good to remember that good leadership is earned every day. That catch cry isn’t lost on Cooroy State School’s selected few in 2018.

The school unveiled its leadership group last week, and they’re a fine array of Year 6 students who are already putting their best efforts forward.

The group was celebrated at a full school assembly and Cooroy Community Bank branch manager, Geoff Edwards was on-hand as a valued sponsor of the school to celebrate the news and wish the new leaders well.

Deputy Principal of Cooroy State School, Karina Ramsay shared the school was impressed by number of quality applicants for leadership positions.

“The selection panel had a difficult task with such a talented pool to select from. Our leaders will work throughout the year on various projects revolving around school improvement and making our school a great place for kids, as well as charitable endeavors to support charities within our community. We’re fortunate to have sponsorship from our local Bendigo Bank for some of those projects.

“We’re very proud of this group of enthusiastic young people who are embracing their leadership opportunities at Cooroy State School in 2018. It’s going to be a great year ahead,” Mrs. Ramsay said.
